Labor-Only Help & Heavy Items in Denver

Sometimes you have the truck. Sometimes you just need one gorilla-sized object to go up one flight of stairs. That is a smaller job and it should cost less.

Labor-Only Help & Heavy Items crew at work in Denver

Labor-only bookings are hourly, with no truck on the invoice, which drops the rate to $125 an hour for two movers. We load or unload rental trucks, portable containers, trailers and storage units, and we load them properly — heavy and square at the nose, tiered, strapped every few feet, soft goods filling the gaps so nothing shifts on I-70.

Container and pod work is the most common version. You get the container dropped in the driveway, we fill it in three or four hours, and the shipping company takes it from there. On the other end we do the reverse, including carrying to the correct room rather than stacking in the garage and calling it done.

Heavy single items are their own category: gun safes, upright pianos, treadmills, slate pool tables, commercial ranges, hot tub shells, three-hundred-pound armoires. These are quoted on weight, stairs and turns rather than by the hour, and we will ask for a photo of the path before committing. Some pieces genuinely need four movers and a stair dolly, and we would rather say that than damage your wall.

In-home moves count too. A piano across the living room, a washer and dryer swapped for the stackable pair, a bedroom set moved to the basement so the floors can be refinished, an office reshuffled after a renovation. Two hours of two movers solves things that would take you a weekend and a chiropractor.

Questions about labor-only help & heavy items

What is the minimum for labor-only help?

Two hours for labor-only jobs inside the metro, versus three when a truck is involved. Single heavy items are quoted flat instead of hourly.

Will you load my rental truck so nothing shifts?

That is the job. Heavy and square at the front, tiers built to the ceiling, straps every few feet and soft goods filling voids. A properly loaded 26-footer holds more than most people expect.

Can you move a gun safe up stairs?

Usually, with four movers and a stair dolly, depending on weight and the turns in the staircase. Send a photo of the stairs and the safe's model and we will give you a flat price.
