Apartment Moving in Denver

Most apartment moves in Denver are lost in the hallway, not on the road. We plan around the elevator, the loading dock and the two-hour window your building actually gave you.

Apartment Moving crew at work in Denver

A studio in Capitol Hill and a two-bedroom in RiNo look identical on paper and behave nothing alike. One has a single flight of wooden stairs and a curb you can legally sit on for twenty minutes; the other has a freight elevator that has to be reserved, padded and shared with a food delivery every four minutes. We ask which one you have before we quote, because that difference is an hour of billable time and it belongs in the estimate rather than in a surprise at the end.

Two movers and a 26-foot truck cover the vast majority of apartment work. The crew arrives with moving blankets, shrink wrap, a wardrobe box or two for hanging clothes, four-wheel dollies and a tool bag for bed frames and TV mounts. Nothing on that list is a line item. If your sofa turns out to be a sleeper and needs a third pair of hands, we tell you on the call, not while it is stuck in the doorway.

Building paperwork is the part people forget until Friday afternoon. Send us the property manager's email and we send the certificate of insurance directly, naming the building and the management company the way their form wants it. We have done it for most of the large complexes between Speer and I-225, so the wording is usually already on file.

The rate covers travel inside the metro, so you are not paying a separate drive fee to get from Cherry Creek to Lakewood. Billing starts when we arrive at your door and stops when the last box is in the new place and the bed is reassembled. Three hours is the minimum, and if a one-bedroom finishes in two and a half, the third hour is still the honest end of the deal we agreed to.

Questions about apartment moving

How long does a one-bedroom apartment take?

Two and a half to four hours for most one-bedrooms inside the metro, including drive time between addresses. Stairs on both ends, a long carry from the truck, or a full storage unit in the basement push it toward five.

Do you handle the elevator reservation?

We tell you what to ask the building for and we send the certificate of insurance, but the reservation itself has to come from you as the resident. Give us the window you were assigned and we build the arrival time around it.

Can you move a few large items and leave the boxes to me?

Yes. A furniture-only run is common and usually lands at the three-hour minimum. Pack the small stuff yourself, leave the sectional, mattress and dresser to the crew.
